The police are not equipped to offer mental health support. Below are some support services that do not use police intervention, and offer transparency about their reporting and tracing policies.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline offers 24/7, confidential, and compassionate assistance. Call 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY) to speak with a live advocate who can provide crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages. The hotline is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and helping them live free from abuse.
